Boundary disputes in tribal districts to be resolved
PESHAWAR: Commissioner of Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mahsud has reaffirmed the priority of resolving boundary disputes in the tribal districts, particularly in Mohmand and Bajaur.
Addressing a jirga comprising elders from the Mohmand and Bajaur districts, Riaz Mahsud stressed the importance of mutual understanding and consensus in settling these disputes.He stated that such a resolution would play a crucial role in reducing tensions between tribes and fostering peace and stability in the region.
Riaz Mahsud announced that a grand jirga would be convened shortly, utilizing all available resources to find a lasting solution to the border issues between Mohmand and
Bajaur.He commended the patience and tolerance demonstrated by both parties and assured them of his commitment to resolving the dispute promptly.
Deputy Commissioner of Mohmand Ihtisham ul Haq and the tehsil chairman also attended the jirga.The delegation was satisfied with the assurances and pledged full cooperation in the resolution process.
