GUJRANWALA: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that there will be no unscheduled loadshedding during Ramazan.
He said this while talking to media during his visit to the Gepco Headquarter here on Monday. State Minister Abid Sher Ali claimed that there would be only six hours loadshedding in urban areas and eight hours in rural and industrial areas during Ramazan. He said that an inquiry had been launched to probe into overbilling issue in Gujranwala region. He said that a campaign against defaulters had been started and electricity connections of the Gujranwala commissioner and various parliamentarians had been disconnected due to non-payment. Abid Sher Ali said that PTI chief Imran Khan was doing only a SHO level politics. Before asking questions about the income of PM Nawaz Sharif, he should first clarify his own position about $7 million of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, he added. He said that the NAB and the FIA should take action against Imran Khan for allegedly receiving profit on donations. He claimed that Sheikh Rasheed approached PM Nawaz Sharif many times for joining the PML-N in recent past, but when he failed, he allegedly leveled allegations against the government. He claimed that the PTI had failed in fulfilling its promise of making a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the PTI was doing nothing except staging protests and sit-ins. He said that the PML-N government was working hard to bring a real change in the country. The government was launching a number of development projects, including making network of roads and motorways, he added.
