HYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Sindh is the land of Sufis and saints, and just like Shah Abdul Latif prayed, we have also prayed that Allah Almighty may bless Sindh and the whole world, including our country.
He expressed these views while talking to the media after attending the dargah in connection with the closing ceremony of the 281st annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
The CM said Bhittai’s message is universal and it is a message of brotherhood. He visited the Bhittai’s shrine, laid a floral wreath, and offered Fateha.
He also listened to Bhittai’s Kalam, distributed clothes among poor people, and recorded his comments in the guest book. Culture Minister Syed Zulfiqar Shah was also with him.
Later, Chief Minister Shah attended the Latif Award ceremony and distributed awards to personalities of various departments for best performance.
Shah said incidents of kidnapping have also reduced in Sindh, and many robbers have either been killed or caught.
