Football player injured in attack dies

LANDIKOTAL: A young football player and village councillor, Lawed Shah Shinwari, who had been injured in a gun attack three days ago, died at a hospital, family sources said on Thursday.
They said that Lawed Shah Shinwari was critically injured in an attack by gunmen near Landikotal sports stadium. The family members confirmed that the sportsman sustained a bullet in his neck, causing his death.During the past few months, it was the fifth targeted killing in Landikotal as militants have previously killed a journalist, policemen and others.
