KARACHI: Geo TV programme host Shahzeb Khanzada said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder made an interesting admission on Wednesday saying Britain National Crime Agency (NCA) had frozen the funds of property tycoon.

The host in his programme “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath” quoted Imran as saying he trusted the words of the property tycoon when he said it was neither stolen nor laundered money and, hence, there was no need of investigation.

Shahzeb said Imran admitted to having allowed £190 million to come to Pakistan under a secret agreement as asked by the tycoon.

Shahzeb, referring to Imran’s media talk at Adiala Jail, said Imran Khan admitted the property tycoon had asked for not making public the deal struck with the NCA.

The same was discussed in the meeting of Cabinet, Imran informed the media, saying, as that was not stolen money it should be brought to Pakistan. Imran told media the NCA had frozen the money taking it as a fraudulent transaction, as Hassan Nawaz’s Rs9 billion property was purchased in Rs18 billion.

It is to be noted the Supreme Court sent the money back to the government of Pakistan, observing it was deposited in the account of SC wrongly.
