Minister briefs Turkiye envoy on Punjab health plans

LAHORE:Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir called on Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye Dumus Basting on Wednesday.

The Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye warmly welcomed the minister. In the meeting, the promotion of Pak-Turkish relations, mutual interest and public health matters were discussed.

Khawaja Imran Nazir informed the Consul General of the Republic of Turkyie about the measures taken in the health department of Punjab. The minister said that thousands of patients are being provided with free medicines at their homes under the 'Sehat ki Sahulat Apki Dehleez per' programme of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Millions of patients have benefited from medical facilities through field hospitals and clinics on wheels. Khawaja Imran Nazir said that hundreds of hospitals in the province are being revamped with modern facilities which are at final stages of completion. Revamping of all the hospitals in the province is in progress, after the completion of which, a significant change will be seen in the condition of government hospitals.
