YDA protests against assault bid on minor

LAHORE:The YDA Punjab staged a protest sit-in outside the office of MS of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to raise their demands on the pretext of seeking justice for the 5-year-old victim of alleged molestation attempt by a hospital's janitorial staff member. The accused was already arrested and a case was registered.

The hospital sources, however, claimed that YDA leaders wanted MS to be removed from his post as he was resisting their activities of securing contracts of canteens, parking lots, etc. The hospital administration said the YDA’s protest was beyond comprehension after accused was arrested and case was also registered again him. ‘The YDA leaders want to achieve their designs on the pretext of justice to the victim,’ the hospital's spokesman said. However, the hospital administration assured the protesting young doctors to investigate the incident as well as fulfill their demands of providing security in the hospital.
