Apart from the summer heat, we have been experiencing another type of heat these days: election heat. Going by the body language of our politicians, it seems as though the general elections are due in a year. They are once again humble and skilful in describing their track record.
This time the political battle is likely to be fought between the PML-N and the PPP. It is going to be a battle between traditions and beliefs. The charismatic PTI has failed to watch its step. Instead of conforming to the thinking of the people, the party wanted people to conform to its thinking. This won’t work.
