ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) closed the Narowal Sports City Complex reference after four years.
Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana accepted NAB’s request to withdraw the reference. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has already been acquitted by the High Court in 2022.
The case against former DG Sports Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjira was also terminated, NAB filed a request to close Narowal Sports City Complex reference. NAB arrested Ahsan Iqbal on 23rd December, 2019 in Narowal Sports City scandal.
The High Court granted him bail on February 25, 2020. NAB filed a request to withdraw the reference referring to the acquittal of Ahsan Iqbal by the High Court.
