KARACHI: Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) and CIRCLE have joined forces to launch the Faysal Khud Mukhtar Internship Programme (FKIP), a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering underserved women in Pakistan.

Through FKIP, Faysal Bank has successfully trained and interned 40 women from marginalized communities, equipping them with the essential skills to thrive in the professional world. These women are now poised to contribute meaningfully to the national economy and achieve financial independence.

President & CEO of Faysal Bank Yousaf Hussain said the bank is committed to social welfare, particularly for women. “Empowering women is crucial for economic growth,” he said. “Faysal Bank is dedicated to creating opportunities for women to become key contributors to our nation’s progress.”

Hussain acknowledged the valuable contributions of CIRCLE Women and expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the partnership. “Together, we can make a significant impact on women’s lives and strengthen Pakistan’s economy,” he stated.

FKIP aligns with Faysal Bank’s focus on ‘care, innovation, and sustainability’, and the collaboration with CIRCLE has introduced essential technological skills alongside financial and social empowerment.

CEO of CIRCLE Sadaffe Abid highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing women’s economic empowerment. “By combining our expertise with Faysal Bank’s financial resources, we can create a lasting impact on women’s lives,” she said.

The partnership between Faysal Bank and CIRCLE represents a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by women in Pakistan’s workforce. By providing training, internships, and financial support, FKIP is empowering women to achieve their full potential and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
