MANSEHRA: The police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a gang of inter-provincial motorcycle snatchers and seized 16 stolen two-wheelers from their possession.
“We have arrested two members of the inter-provincial gang and seized as many as 16 stolen motorcycles from their possession,” District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur told reporters here.
Accompanied by the SHO of City and Saddar police stations, he said that one of the gangsters, Danish Tariq, had stolen the motorcycle of one Mohammad Faraz and gone into hiding earlier this month.
“This incident led our inquiry team to arrest Faraz. And Mohammad Sajid was arrested on his pointation,” Gandapur said, adding both of them confessed to have committed the crimes even in Punjab and Sindh.He said that an investigation team was also constituted which would ensure delivery of the seized two-wheelers to their respective owners.
