Lady health worker found dead in Maymar
The body of a 30-year-old lady health worker, identified as Shaheen, was found in a house in the Gulshan-e-Maymar neighbourhood on Monday. Police transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased's family suspected foul play, and a postmortem was being conducted to determine the cause of death. According to her sister, Shaheen's husband, who had married her as a second wife, might have poisoned her. The police had initiated an investigation into the case.
Man shot dead
In a separate incident, a 35-year-old man named Abdul Khaliq, son of Abdul Sattar, was shot dead within the jurisdiction of the Sacchal police station. The police and rescuers took the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Preliminary investigations suggested that Khaliq was killed by gunfire from unknown suspects near Ali Complex, Sacchal Morr, towards Madras Chowk. No case has been registered yet, and further investigation is ongoing.
