The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted an operation at the Karachi airport on Sunday and offloaded two passengers who were attempting to travel to Tehran from where they intended to illegally go to Europe.

According to a spokesperson for the agency, the FIA immigration team in Karachi arrested the two suspects who were attempting to travel illegally from Iran to Europe.

The suspects were reportedly in contact with an agent named Tanveer. FIA officials stated the suspects were headed to Iran citing an interview at the Serbian Embassy.

However, their interview appointment date, August 15, had already passed. The suspects, identified as Ghulam Ghaus and Haris Hassan, had each paid Rs1.8 million to the agent for their journey to Europe. They have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further investigations.
