KARACHI: On the directives of mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, a bowling alley will be established at KMC Sports Complex at Kashmir Road for the common citizens to entertain them on affordable charges, The News has learnt.
Sources in the KMC said that bowling alley will be established at the newly developed infrastructure of KMC Sports complex, at Kashmir Road, where arrangement of the installation of machines and equipment is being made.
To run the bowling alley, KMC has signed an agreement with Virtual Axis Entertainment (Pvt) . When contacted, the CEO of the company Khawaja Ahmed Mustaqeem said that the all machinery of bowling alley is being imported from USA, and is expected to reach Pakistan by the end of this month.
He said that the installation of the machines and technical equipment would take less than one month. He said the inauguration of the bowling alley is expected in the middle of October. He pointed out that charges would be 50 percent less than privately run bowling alleys.
Mustaqeem further said that six lanes would be established in the alley arena, where six players can play at a time. It is pertinent to mention that there are three bowling alleys in the city which are run on commercial basis.
