No more ‘deals’
This letter refers to the news story ‘Those seeking to drive wedge between institutions, people will fail: COAS’ (August 14, 2024). The time for appeasement is over and it is now time to deal with terrorist elements in the way they deserve to be dealt with. There were numerous so-called agreements signed with these terror groups time and again but not one agreement lasted and it was always the terrorists who broke their promise.
Unless we consider them to be our enemies, we will not be able to go after them with full force. Now that they have been labelled as Khawarij, one would think that the state has finally decided to take an uncompromising stance towards the terrorists. The objective is simple and clear: total peace in Pakistan.
