HYDERABAD: MNA Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, asking him to complete the K-IV water project.
Jameel-uz-Zaman wrote that as an MNA, he was requesting the completion of the Karachi water project as soon as possible because the citizens of Karachi were currently facing a water shortage.
He thought that the water crisis can be addressed by completing the 150-billion-rupee K-4 project of the federal and provincial governments. The letter said that Karachi needs 1.4 billion MGD of water per day and 600 MGD of water is being provided to the city at present, while there is a daily shortfall of 800 MGD.
It further said that Karachi is the economic hub and should be given the first priority to complete this work.
