16 die in Punjab road accidents
LAHORE: The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,898 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.In these accidents, 16 people died, whereas 2,126 were injured. Out of these, 932 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 1,194 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
31 PTI activists booked
JARANWALA: City police have registered a case against 31 activists and workers of the PTI on the charges of blocking a road and chanting slogans against the government.The PTI workers had taken out a rally and demanded release of former PM Imran Khan. They had also chanted slogans against the government. Those booked include PTI ticket holder Ch Umair Wasi, Maj (retd) Habibullah and Mehmood Akram, son of MPA Akram Chaudhry. Meanwhile, the police have arrested 16 workers.
