Camavinga out for weeks with knee sprain
MADRID: Real Madrid have suffered an injury setback on the eve of the new season with the news French international midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be out of action for up to two months after twisting his internal ligament in his left knee.
Camavinga suffered the injury in a collision with his international teammate Aurelian Tchouameni during Tuesday’s training session ahead of Wednesday’s European Supercup final against Atalanta. The club carried out tests on Wednesday and published the results on their official website, saying the midfielder’s recovery “will be monitored,” without giving a date for his possible return. However, injuries of the kind Camavinga has suffered usually needed a minimum of six weeks recovery time and usually take up to six months for a player to return to action.
