Neglected Larkana
Like other cities in Sindh, Larkana too has suffered from official neglect. Despite its close proximity to Mohenjo-Daro and having given the country two prime ministers, the city looks more like a village than a developed urban area. It lacks a coherent traffic system, and encroachments along the roads, particularly on Bunder Road, Royal Chowk and Bank Square Chowk further hinder the flow of traffic.
Moreover, heavy vehicles have been allowed in the city even at day time, creating difficulties for people. The standards of education have gone down. The sanitation system has almost collapsed. With the onset of the hot summer season, people have been facing up to 18 hours of loadshedding. For the first in history, they have also faced gas load management. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is requested to save the city from corrupt officers.
