Uthmanzai elders launch Amn Pasoon for rights
BANNU: The elders of Uthmanzai tribe on Tuesday launched a protest sit-in against law and order situation and provision of gas in the district.
Launching the protest sit-in - Amn Pasoon - the elders, including the chief of North Waziristan Malik Nasrullah Khan, Mufti Baitullah, Malik Akbar Khan, Malik Imshadullah, Malik Aurangzeb Khan and others said that the government had not honoured the pledges made with people and they were being deceived on one pretext or the other.
They said that it was the prime responsibility of the state and the government to maintain peace and provide protection to the people and their property.However, they claimed the government had failed to restore a lasting peace in the region.They alleged that their resources had been grabbed and they were neither being given their resources not compensation for the same.
