ISLAMABAD: Nominations have been changed for the Senior Management Course (SMC), which is mandatory for promotion to BS 20.
The Establishment Division has canceled the nomination of five officers. Course stations of five others have been changed, while additional nomination orders for 24 officers have been issued. Among the officers whose nominations have been cancelled are Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal, Hyderabad SSP Amjad Ahmed Sheikh, SSP appointed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed, and FC SSP Javed Iqbal. The nomination of Railway Ministry officer Mohammad Shafiq has been cancelled.
Among the 24 new officers who have been nominated include Deputy Commissioner, Central Karachi, Fawad Ghaffar Soomro, Pakpattan DPO Tariq Wilayat, CTD Lahore SSP Rizwan Umar, SSP Benaziraad Capt (Retd) Haider Raza, Trade and Investment Consul, Poland, Mohammad Zahid, Shahid Ali of Pakistan Customs Service, Syed Mualim of Ministry of Railways, Dr. Syed Faisal Saeed of Aviation Division, Dr. Muhammad Mazhar Saeed of Cabinet Division, Syed Nasrullah of Ministry of Trade and Balochistan government officer Muhammad Arif Baloch.
Punjab government officers include Syed Sajid Tirmizi, Waseem Abbas, Fakhrul Islam Dogar, Muhammad Asad, Rihana Farhat, Aftab Ahmed, Muhammad Amin Awasi, Rizwan Naveed, Nadia Shafiq and Naveed Shahzad Mirza. Ex-cadre officers are: Karim Bakhsh, Muhammad Majid Iqbal and Shafiq Ahmed Dogar. The Establishment Division has sent a letter to the Rector National School of Public Policy Lahore informing about the change in the nominations. The course will be held simultaneously from September 9 to December 27 in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad. Accordingly, the nominated officers were directed to report to the respective training center on September 6.
