Can move no-trust if Feb 8 stolen mandate returned: PTI
He warned that there would be anarchy and unrest, if Supreme Court judgment was not implemented on reserved seats
ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan MNA Monday said they could move a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly if their February 8 mandate was returned.
“But let me make it clear … we will not move against the government on the demand of Donald Lu or signal from the United States,” he said while talking to journalists after meeting the party founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
He warned that there would be anarchy and unrest, if the Supreme Court judgment was not implemented on the reserved seats.
“If Pakistan is to be run and taken forward, then the Constitution will have to be followed and the apex court verdicts implemented,” he maintained. He emphasized that the elections were held on the orders of the chief justice but were not fully implemented and that their mandate was stolen. He demanded that the chief justice take notice of it.
He reiterated the party’s demand for formation of a judicial commission on May 9 and wondered why the government was not writing to the chief justice for this purpose.
“Have mercy on the country; write a letter to the Supreme Court to investigate May 9 incident. Imran Khan has already demanded that the CCTV footages should be produced and if his party people were seen setting the Jinnah House on fire, then he will apologise and that there would be a strict action against them and he would throw them out of PTI,” the former minister said.
He insisted that the PTI social media team members were soldiers without uniform to safeguard the country’s interests and fight the propaganda against the nation, the armed forces, and Pak ideology along with the common youth.
