Over 10,000 attend Pakistan’s Independence Day celebration in UAE

DUBAI: Pakistan’s Azadi Show, a grand celebration of the country’s independence day, took place at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, drawing over 10,000 jubilant Pakistanis to this historic event.

The 12-hour-long show attracted the largest gathering of overseas Pakistanis, with Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, serving as the chief guest. He honoured the Pakistani community with heartfelt tributes, which were met with thunderous applause and chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” from the enthusiastic crowd.

The Jashan Azadi Show was organised by the UAE Government Media Office in collaboration with the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” page. The Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police and Dubai World Trade Centre also played a key role in arranging this remarkable event, which highlighted the strong bond between Pakistan and the UAE.

In his address, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s commitment to global peace and development. He expressed hope that Pakistan and the UAE could play a pivotal role in international affairs by leveraging their strategic locations and working closely together.

Sheikh Nahyan also praised the contributions of the Pakistani community, stating that the UAE is honoured to work alongside their Pakistani brothers and sisters to achieve regional and global prosperity. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, expressed pride in the unprecedented scale of the Azadi Show, stating that it made every Pakistani proud.
