Landlord accused of killing minor boy arrested
Hyderabad: The Seri police in Hyderabad have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the killing of a nine-year-old boy, Tahir, on August 3.
The killing took place in the fields of local landlord Zubair Pathan who allegedly had the boy shot dead by one of his men for trespassing on his land and damaging the crop.
After the incident, the Hyderabad police immediately arrested the suspected shooter, Mehmood, alias Nano, in the murder case.
On Sunday, the police arrested the landlord near Khathar Phatak.
A case No. 180/2024 under the sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against Pathan over the killing. The landlord has also been booked in another case 184/2024 pertaining to intimidation and harassment under the sections 506/2 and 34.
In the first FIR of the murder, the landlord had obtained protective bail from the Sindh High Court.
