ISLAMABAD: PATTAN-Coalition 38’s recent audit report has uncovered a significant discrepancy of over one hundred thousand (100,000) extra votes in the election results of NA-128 when comparing the Forms-45 and 46 from the polling stations of the corresponding provincial constituencies posted by the ECP on its website.

The voting turnouts in nearly 171 polling stations in NA-128 were over 80 per cent on average, with some reaching 100per cent. In contrast, the turnouts for the same polling stations across five shared provincial constituencies were just 41%.

The audit report, shared with the media on Friday, noted 108 polling stations in NA-128 where the difference in national and provincial votes was more than 500 votes. At 33 polling stations, the turnout was more than 90% of registered voters for the National Assembly seat, with one station even reaching 100 per cent. Proof of rigging is corroborated by comparing the data from Forms 46 and 47 for those 171 polling stations in both the national and corresponding provincial seats.

Furthermore, Aun Chaudhary won when the turnout was exceptionally high, while Salman Akram Raja won when the turnout was low to moderate, around 40%. This naturally raises suspicion.

The audit also highlights an unusual trend where NA-128 covers five partial provincial seats—a clear violation of ECP delimitation principles. A similar pattern of inconsistencies and anomalies was found for NA-130 in PATTAN’s last audit report.

When contacted, an ECP official said every possible step was taken to ensure transparency in elections, adding the commission would be in a position to respond after going through the report.
