Islamabad:Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Murree Road from Faizabad to Serena Chowk on Friday to review the ongoing projects aimed at modernising the road and improving security measures, according to the spokesman for the interior ministry.
During the visit, the Interior Minister inspected the road from Faizabad to Serena Chowk and directed the authorities to transform it into a model road. He emphasised the need for a comprehensive upgrade plan for the entrance road to Islamabad and ordered the removal of all encroachments along the road.
Additionally, the minister instructed the development of parks and green belts on both sides of the road and emphasised the importance of attractive landscaping and horticulture. He also highlighted the need for urgent patchwork and carpeting of the road, especially at the Faizabad Interchange, which serves as the entrance to Islamabad.
Moreover, Naqvi emphasised the importance of ensuring that the road lights installed on Murree Road are fully operational and instructed CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to facilitate citizens' movement. During the visit, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and CDA members accompanied the minister.
