Exam high-achievers honoured
Islamabad:Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui gave away medals, cash prizes, laptops, and merit certificates to 50 outstanding students from the 2022 and 2023 examinations conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
During a special ceremony at Islamabad Model College for Boys in H-9, Islamabad, the minister commended the students' achievements and emphasised the value of pursuing excellence. He also discussed the government's initiatives to improve educational standards and applauded FBISE’s examination reforms, acknowledging the board as a leading example in the field.
The annual event honoured the top three performers in the board exams for secondary and higher secondary school levels. FBISE chairman Syed Junaid Akhlaq also commended the students for their dedication and achievements. He highlighted the board's commitment to advancing education and expressed gratitude for the support from parents, teachers, and affiliated educational institutions.
Federal education secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani also praised high-achievers and urged them to continue their hard work and to share their knowledge. He stressed that education should build character and humility.
Mr Wani outlined various government initiatives, such as IT parks, school meal programmes, art rooms, mental development games, and school beautification efforts. He also mentioned the launch of Pink Buses for female commuters in Islamabad, aimed at providing dignified transportation.
