LAHORE:Punjab University Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology and a Trust hospital, Pink Ribbon Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) towards fostering cooperation in the field of health.
In this regard, the signing ceremony was held at PU VC’s office here on Friday. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Director CEMB Dr Moazur Rahman, CEO Pink Ribbon Omer Aftab and others were present. According to the MoU, both the institutions will collaborate in co-marketing and speeding awareness through joint seminars with clinicians and oncologists, highlighting this cost-effective and time-saving diagnostic test. The parties will work on genetic counselling to patients and their families. Dr Khalid Mahmood hoped that the MoU would be fruitful for the institutions.
Child Safety Centre receives over 1,700 complaints
Virtual Centre for Child Safety received over 1,700 complaints in two weeks. The Child Safety Centre has facilitated the registration of more than 415 FIRs related to children across the Punjab province. Additionally, the Centre has resolved over 1,200 cases. Immediate police assistance is being provided for complaints regarding missing and found children, unaccompanied minors, runaways, victims of abuse, and other issues.
