A suspect in a minor killing case was sent to jail on judicial demand on Thursday after the completion of his three-day physical remand. On August 3, a landlord, Agha Zubair, allegedly ordered firing on his farmers during a bitter argument in the Seri area, as a result of which a nine-year-old boy, Tahir, died on the spot.

Following the firing incident, a murder case was registered against Zubair and his man Mehmood, aka Nano Mallah, on the complaint of the deceased boy's mother, Begu Mallah, at the Hosri police station. Following the registration of the case, the landlord went into hiding. He was later granted protective bail by the Sindh High Court.

The Hyderabad police arrested Mehmood. He was initially sent in the police custody for three days. As the physical remand ended on Thursday, the court ordered that the accused be sent to the Nara jail on judicial remand till August 19, and adjourned the hearing.
