Police kill two ‘robbers’ in Korangi
Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged exchange of fire with police in the Vita Chowrangi area of Korangi on Wednesday. Weapons, stolen mobile phones and a stolen motorcycle were seized from the killed suspects’ possession.
According to police, the two robbers were mugging a citizen on Korangi Industrial Area Road when they were spotted by the Anti-Street Crime Force. When the cops tried to apprehend them, the robbers opened fire.
In retaliation, the police officials shot and killed both the robbers. Police said efforts were under way to identify the deceased robbers and check their criminal record.
Korangi SSP Tauheed Rahman Memon announced commendation certificates for the police officers for their bravery in killing the two robbers, a Korangi police spokesman said.
