PARIS (France): The Paris Olympic javelin throw finals on Thursday evening at the Stadia de France will start with the mini-qualifying round with the best eight throwers coming out of the initial round would then be seen competing for medals.

It will all start with the mini qualifying round with each of the 12 competitors getting three throws each to earn a place in the last eight. Those eight achieving the longer distance with one best throw from the three will make it to the last eight stage.

Say if anyone from the mini qualifying round achieves monstrous distance (say anything over 90m or any other throw better than others) that throw will stand unless and until others cross that in the final round. Again the last eight throwers will get three throws each before the medal will be decided based on the best throw from each of the contestants even if it had come during the mini qualifying round.
