ISLAMABAD: On the orders of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), police recovered a two-and-a-half-year-old girl from Gujrat and brought her to the court, which then ordered the police to hand over the custody of the girl to her mother and disposed of the petition.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the application of Sahrish Batool for the recovery of her minor daughter from her former husband. Shehzad Town police station SHO Mohammad Azeem brought the girl from Gujrat to the IHC.
The court handed over the girl to her mother and disposed of the application. The applicant had claimed in the petition that her ex-husband Afzal Mehmood had abducted their daughter and her whereabouts were unknown. The IHC had ordered the police to recover the girl and bring her to the court. After the execution of the court’s order, the girl was handed over to her mother.
