Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Youm-e-Istehsal is an occasion to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and to raise our voices for justice and self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

He emphasized that the international community should play an active role in this cause. In his message on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, Memon stated that the international community should not turn a blind eye to the plight of Kashmiris and should continue to advocate for their rights and freedom. He emphasized that a conspiracy was made to suppress the voices and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The provincial minster said that during the last five years, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have faced innumerable hardships and sufferings at the hands of the Indian forces, and civilized nations from all over the world are questioning India’s stupid actions.

He said that India has been involved in human rights violations, arbitrary detentions, and restrictions on freedom of expression in Occupied Kashmir. He emphasized that a peaceful and just solution to the Kashmir issue lies in the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah led a rally in Karachi to show solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir. The rally was organized by the Karachi administration.

The Sindh government observed Youm-e-Istehsal Day against India’s illegal move to end the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Karachi administration organized the rally under the leadership of provincial energy minister Nasir Hussain Shah from the People’s Chowrangi to the Mazar-e-Quaid, expressing solidarity with Kashmiris.

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Waqar Mehdi, Rajvir Singh, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, secretaries of various departments, all deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, the commissioner and all district administration staff, Education Department officers, teachers and a large number of schoolchildren participated. Minister Nasir Shah and Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi addressed the participants after a walk at the Mazar-e-Quaid.

Expressing solidarity with Kashmiris, Shah termed India’s move to end Kashmir’s special status illegal and a clear violation of UN and Security Council resolutions. He said that the people of Pakistan have always been with the Kashmiris in their freedom struggle and will continue to support them morally and diplomatically.

Commissioner Hasan Naqvi said in his address that the Youm-e-Istehsal Day rally is an expression of determination that the government and people of Pakistan do not accept India’s decision and they will continue to support the right of Kashmiris to vote in every forum of the world, including the United Nations.
