President, others pay glowing tribute to sacrifices of police force

Occasion of Youm-e-Shuhada Police, armed forces of Pakistan have paid solemn tribute to valiant personnel of Pakistan Police who have made ultimate sacrifice in line of duty

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI/SUKKUR: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday paid tribute to Shuhada of the police force and said the martyred police personnel had offered valuable sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

According to statement issue by the President House on Yaum-e-Shuhada-e-Police, President Zardari lauded the unmatched bravery and sacrifices of the Shuhada of the police force. “The entire nation is proud of its valiant police force for their sacrifices. The police personnel had laid down their lives while fighting on the front line with terrorists and criminal elements,” he said.

President Zardari highlighting the role of the police force during the success of the fight against terrorism said that Jawans of police force had been sacrificing their lives, fighting with terrorists and anti-social elements in different parts of the country. “On behalf of the entire nation, the president said, he saluted the Shuhada of the police force for their services and sacrifices,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Youm-e-Shuhada Police, the armed forces of Pakistan have paid solemn tribute to the valiant personnel of the Pakistan Police who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said the unwavering dedication, unrelenting courage, and selfless sacrifice will be perpetually remembered and honoured.

The armed forces of Pakistan have reiterated their unwavering commitment to the noble cause of defending the motherland, alongside the police and other law enforcement agencies, and pledge to continue this mission with unshakeable resolve and determination.

“Today, the armed forces, comprising officers and men, salute the memory of our fallen heroes who have protected the nation with their sweat and blood.

Their noble and selfless service has ensured the safety and security of our communities, and their legacy continues to inspire and motivate us”, the ISPR statement said.

It says the armed forces of Pakistan stand in solidarity with their families and reaffirm our commitment to supporting them in every possible manner and to demonstrate our solidarity with the Shuhada of Police, army officers and troops participated in various events organized by the local police at numerous locations across the country.

“Yaum-e-Shuhada Police serves as a poignant reminder of the immense sacrifices made by our policemen in the pursuit of peace, justice, and security”, the statement said.

Yaum-e- Shuhada Police marked in Larkana, Sukkur and other cities on Sunday. A simple and dignified ceremony was organized by the Larkana Range Police at Sachal Banquet Larkana to commemorate their martyrs.

DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab Pathan, Commissioner Larkana, DC Larkana, high court and sessions court bar representatives, chairman District Council Larkana, Larkana Press Club representatives, civil society and police officers participated in the event.

DIG Larkana paid homage to the Martyrs’ Memorial, after which saluted the martyrs.

Addressing the ceremony, DIG Larkana said that the sacrifices of martyred policemen would be remembered by the nations, while martyred are alive. He said that the police department is like a family, cannot leave any member of the martyred Police family alone. Respectively in Sukkur Yaum-e-Shuhada of Police observed.

Addressing a ceremony SSP Sukkur Amjad Shaikh, Mayor Sukkur Arslan Islam Shaikh, DC Sukkur paid rich tribute to the martyred cops and realizing the families of the martyred that they are not alone.

Mayor Sukkur announced one million annual financial assistance for the children of the martyred policemen for their better education.
