Asad, Muzammil move into under-18 singles final

KARACHI: Asad Zaman and Muzammil Bhand moved into the final of under-18 singles in the Techstirr national tennis championship at DA Creek Club here on Sunday.
In the semifinals, Asad (Lahore) beat M Yahya (Islamabad) 6-3, 6-3 and Muzammil (Hyderabad) defeated Kashan Tariq 6-2, 7-5. In the semifinals of boys under-14 singles, Ismail Aftab overpowered Ruhab Faisal 4-2, 4-5, 5-3 and Ali Bachani (Hyderabad) won against M Junaid (Peshawar) 4-0, 2-4, 4-2. In the semifinals of under-18 doubles category, Asad and Kashan beat Rayan and Shamoon 8-1 while Yahya and Muzammil defeated Nabeel and Taimoor 8-6.
