LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively searching for a seasoned individual to fill the role of the team manager.
Sources within PCB said that the board wants a strong and experienced person for the position. The PCB also plans to appoint an assistant manager who will focus on logistical matters. Naveed Akram Cheema, who previously held the position during Zaka Ashraf’s tenure, is reportedly a strong contender for the manager’s role.
The PCB has confirmed that foreign strength and conditioning coaches and physios will continue to be part of the team’s support staff. Cliff Deacon and Simon Drax are currently serving as physios and strength and conditioning coaches, respectively. Additionally, the board is considering appointing a foreign fielding coach, with Simon Helmut being a potential candidate.
