LAHORE: The Provincial Ministers of Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Department (SHC&MED) and Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD) have approved the constitution of a committee to deliberate upon and come up with recommendations for various issues pertaining to the medical community as well as patients’ welfare.
Mansoor Ahmad, Special Secretary (Operations) SHC&MED, will be the Convener, M lqbal, Special Secretary (Operations) PSHD, Co-convener, Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University, Multan, Principal, PGMI/AMC/Lahore General Hospital, Lahore, Medical Superintendent, Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, Dr Ali Ayyaz Prof of Ophthalmology, KEMU, Lahore, Dr Shabbir Hussain Chaudhry Assistant Professor of Urology, AIMC/Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, Dr Atif Majeed Medical Officer, Services Hospital, Lahore, Muqadas-Un-Nisa Director, Drugs Testing Laboratory, Multan, Muqaddas Tasneem Head Nurse, University of Child Health Sciences, Children's Hospital, Lahore, will be the members of the body.
Mirza Waleed Baig, Deputy Secretary (Admin) Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department will be the secretary of the committee which will come up with comprehensive recommendations and road map in three months. Its recommendations will be submitted to the Health Advisory Committee for endorsement and further necessary action.
