KARACHI: Pakistan's Nasir Iqbal has advanced to the final of the Bega Open Squash Championship in Australia.
Iqbal triumphed over Switzerland's Robin Gadola with a decisive 3-1 victory in the semi-final clash.
The match began with Iqbal asserting his dominance, claiming the first game 11-6.
Gadola responded strongly, equalising the score by winning the second game 11-4.
However, Iqbal quickly regained control, demonstrating his prowess by taking the next two games 11-2 and 11-3, thereby securing his place in the final.
The Bega Open, held in New South Wales, carries a prize pool of $12,000.
In the final showdown, Iqbal will face the second-seed, Matthew Lai from Hong Kong.
