12 hospitalised for food poisoning

GUJRANWALA: Some twelve people, including eight children, were taken to hospital for food poisoning on Friday.
At Wahndo, Yusuf, 44, Shamaila, 23, Lubna, 23, Arslan, 22, Asima, 18, Sufyan,12, Hamza, 5, and Noor Fatima, 2, ate toxic food and fell ill.
At Katchi Fatumand, condition of Sajawal, 3, Laiba, 3, Taiba, 6 and Bilawal 2 worsened when they ate stale rice. They all were taken to hospital.
SHOP CATCHES FIRE: A shop caught fire due to sparking of main power cable of Wapda in Aroop.
Reportedly, main wire of Wapda caught fire and the fire engulfed the shop of Mehr Shahzad and burnt costly things.
The locals protested against Gepco and said the fire occurred owing to alleged negligence of line superintendent Shakoor who was asked repeatedly to remove the wire but he ignored their plea.
FIVE INJURED: Five people were injured in a road accident at Nowshera Virkan on Friday.
The accident occurred when two motorcycles collided, leaving five people injured. The injured were rushed to hospital and two critically injured were referred to Lahore.
