ISLAMABAD: Appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy.
Pakistan Administrative Service Grade 22 officer and Member-in-charge Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, Regional Office Karachi, Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, has been transferred and posted as Secretary Poverty Alleviation Division. Grade 20 officer Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman, posted in the Sindh government, has been transferred and his services entrusted to National School of Public Policy, Lahore. Meanwhile, with the approval of prime minister, appointments have been made by the federal government on contract basis in the Ministry of Information for one year. Tayyab Hameed has been appointed as Head of Data, Muhammad Zabin Syed as Head of Marketing and Abdullah Kharal as Head of Strategy under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The appointment of Syed Waqas, Director ITU United Nations, IT Division, appointed in the MP3 scale, has been extended by one year with effect from May 31, 2024. According to other orders, DG Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Grade 21 officer, Nasir Hameed of Commerce and Trade Group, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce.
Fayyazuddin, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group awaiting appointment has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary in the ministry. Joint Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Secretariat Group Grade 20 officer Kamran Ahmed has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Air Commodore Ahsan Nauman has been appointed as the President of the Aircraft Accident and Investigation Board at the Civil Aviation Authority after the approval of the prime minister. He was appointed on the basis of secondment. The services of SP Pari Gul of Grade 18 of Police Service of Pakistan, posted in the Government of Balochistan, have been entrusted to Islamabad Police. Retirement orders of Joint Secretary Ministry of Defence Aurangzeb have been issued for April 11, 2025.
The services of Section Officer Economic Affairs Division Hafsa Dar have been returned to the Ministry of Information. OSD Establishment Division Muhammad Ali Idris has been appointed as Section Officer Establishment Division. Moreover, Huda Shah of OMG Grade 18 posted in the Presidency has been made an OSD and granted leave for 6 months from August 1. The Establishment Division has issued notifications of all orders.
