Seven uplift schemes worth Rs9bn approved

LAHORE:The 11th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Fiscal Year 2024-25 was held under the Chairmanship of Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan in which seven development schemes of roads, and P&S HC sectors were approved at an estimated cost of Rs9 billion.

The approved schemes included Rehabilitation of Shujabad Jalalpur Pirwala, District Multan at the cost of Rs2.701 billion, dualisation of metalled road from Thalli Chowk, Rahim

Yar Khan to Iqbalabad (N-5) District RY Khan at the cost of Rs1.050 billion, rehabilitation of road from Kasur to Raiwind, District Kasur at the cost of Rs2.096 billion, rehabilitation of metalled road from Shoria Gilania Chowk (N-55) to Samina Sadat at the cost of Rs418.345 million, construction of flyover at Jhal Road railway crossing to Sahiwal City at Rs914 million, construction of dual carriageway from M-3 Motorway Samundri Interchange to Samundri City, District Faisalabad at the cost of Rs1.768 billion, and Infection Control Programme Phase (II) at the cost of Rs473.636 million.

Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Dr Nasir Iqbal Malik, members P&D Board, heads and senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
