DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified persons opened fire on a vehicle of the United Nations at the junction of the Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts on Tuesday, police officials said.
“Unidentified persons opened fire on the UN vehicle at the junction of the Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts. But, fortunately, no casualty occurred in the attack,” an official said.
Talking to reporters, District Police Officer, Tank, Abdus Salam, said that the police team reached the spot on time and rescued the occupants of the vehicle. “The vehicle was damaged in the attack but the people on board remained safe,” he added. He said that the security situation in the particular area was very sensitive and they had initiated a probe into the incident
