Man shot dead over old enmity

LAHORE:A man was shot dead over old enmity by two motorcyclists in Ghalib Market police area here on Monday. Police said unidentified bikers had a scuffle with the deceased. They turned up again and gunned down him. Police said the incident seems to be a sign of old enmity.

A forensic team and police are investigating to identify the victim. Nothing has been recovered from the pockets of the victim. Police removed the body to morgue.

Man arrested for torturing wife

A man tortured his wife in Hayer on Monday. Waqas was having a dispute with his wife and subjected her to torture on the day of the incident. Police was alerted and the police arrested him and booked him.

Five die in road accidents

Around five people died, whereas 1,285 were injured in 1,162 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 635 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 650 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.

Suspect booked for injuring two women

A man injured two women in the Iqbal Town area on Monday. Three women were living in a rented flat in Zeenat Block, Iqbal Town. On the day of the incident, Shumaila’s fiancé Nabeel came there and asked about Shumaila.

Sonia told him that she had left the premises for work. To hear this, he injured Sonia and Sumera with a sharp-edged weapon. A case has been registered against the accused.

Imposter arrested

South cantonment police Monday arrested an imposter who was cheating people by posing as an assistant sub-inspector (ASI). Hammad would upload videos on social media in police uniform and a police team took notice of his activities and arrested him after registering case against him.
