LGH to hold training workshops for new house officers

LAHORE: Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr M Al-Fareed Zafar on Saturday announced that the training workshops will be held at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) to enhance the professional skills of new house officers.

He said that the senior doctors will deliver lectures to young house officers on the symptoms of diseases, preventive measures and modern methods of treatment so that they do not face any difficulty in treating patients in the practical field. Prof Al-Fareed highlighted that young doctors are the asset of the nation and they have a long professional career ahead. They have to face many challenges so they should be mentally prepared for obtaining higher medical education.

Principal PGMI/AMC advised the new house officers to respect their teachers and seniors and adopt medical ethics and moral principles so that they would be able to treat the patients in a better way after completing the house job.

He further said that doctors who graduated from Ameer Uddin Medical College will be given monthly stipend as per the government policy which will help them to meet their expenses.

He emphasised that today doctors should focus on serving the humanity by using modern technology and give full attention to the latest medical research according to the modern requirements, which will help them in practical life.
