ISLAMABAD: A day after a notification of its 39 MNAs was issued, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Friday submitted its lists for reserved seats for women and minorities to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The lists for 67 women and 11 minority seats have been submitted to the ECP. Aliya Hamza’s name is on the top of the list for reserved seats for women in the National Assembly, whereas Lal Chand Malhi’s name is on the top for minority seat in the NA.

The PTI has also submitted priority lists for the Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh Assemblies. The women candidates include Sanam Javed, Alia Hamza, Kanwal Shauzab, Rubina Shaheen and Seemabiya Tahir.

On July 12, the Supreme Court had annulled the decision of Peshawar High Court and Election Commission in the case of reserved seats of Sunni Ittehad Council and declared PTI was entitled to the reserved seats.
