Murder accused remanded to police

PESHAWAR: An Anti-Terrorism Court has handed over the main suspect arrested in the murder case of 8 individuals in Badaber area to the police on a 5-day physical remand for interrogation.

When the accused Yar Rahman was produced before ATC Judge Usman Bashir, the investigating officer stated that the accused was charged with the murder of 8 individuals on June 25, 2024. The accused was arrested by the police from Peshawar. The investigating officer further stated that the accused has confessed to murdering the 8 individuals during police interrogation. However, further interrogation and physical remand of the accused is required. The court granted the request and handed over the accused to the police on a 5-day physical remand for interrogation.
