Two die in house collapse

Rawalpindi:Two people have died as a mud house collapsed last night on Thursday in the Misrial Road area. A family was sleeping when the mud roof of the house collapsed, resulting in two people buried under debris.

According to emergency service, Rescue 1122 teams recovered two bodies which were shifted to the hospital after necessary action. The deceased were identified as Sajid 27, and his 7 years old daughter Malaika.

The locals informed that the house was an old-fashioned construction in which mud was used. The single-story building’s roof was too weak to hold any extra weight, they said. The neighbouring people further pointed out that the incident could be the result of heavy rain during which the roof collapsed.
