JUIS slams SC ruling
NOWSHERA: Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, the Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUIS) and the vice administrator of Jamia Darul Uloom Haqqania, has rejected the recent Supreme Court ruling in the Mubarak Sani case.
Addressing a large congregation at Jamia Masjid Maulana Abdul Haq and a subsequent protest at GT Road in front of Darul Uloom-i- Haqqani declared that they would make any sacrifice for the honour of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
The JUIS leader dismissed the three-member bench’s decision as completely unacceptable and contrary to the Constitution and Sharia. He urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, to review the decision and issue a judgment in accordance with the Constitution.
Haqqani and other speakers at the protest, including party’s central secretary-general Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah, called on all religious and political parties to unite on the crucial issue, emphasising that the issue of the finality of the prophethood is a matter of faith and that no compromise would be tolerated.
