LAHORE: The Punjab government has been avidly focusing on the establishment of day care centres in the bar rooms across Punjab for the minor children of female lawyers so that they (female lawyers) could easily perform their duties in courts. It is the foremost priority of the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to provide maximum facilities and reliefs to working women at their working places.

Provincial Minister for Law and Communication and Works Punjab Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth expressed these views during his meeting with a delegation of a private college in his office on Thursday.

The minister disclosed that the Punjab government had been ensuring rule of the law in the province and similarly it had taken inimitable steps to control crime, particularly street crime, across the province. “As a student of law, you people should come forward and play your role to do the capacity building of the general masses in regard with important existing laws which are being formulated for the better governance in the province” he asked the law students.

He said that the opposition in Punjab Assembly had not introduced even a single bill in assembly, which is for the welfare of the people of Punjab. He said the Punjab government is formulating law and side by side also focusing on the construction of roads and revamping of hospitals and basic and rural health centres.
