Charity to expand outreach to poor communities

PESHAWAR: A charity helping needy people in different parts of the country, is opening a new branch in Peshawar to expand outreach to underprivileged communities in the provincial metropolis.

“We are delighted to announce the inauguration of Saylani Welfare International Trust’s new branch on Saddar Road,” said a press release. It said this marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to serve and uplift the underprivileged communities in Peshawar. The inauguration ceremony will be held today (Friday).

The Karachi-based trust started operations in Peshawar in 2018 by providing free lunch and dinner to poor people daily in Saddar and Old Haji Camp area. The trust organized a “Grand Dastarkhawan ‘’ in Peshawar in Razaman providing Iftari to around 3,000 deserving people. It has joined hands with Aziz Jan Trust in Peshawar and is imparting modern information technology skills to around 3,000 students free of cost.

The press release said the trust has a team of around 5,000 employees in over 850 branches worldwide serving 400,000 people every day without discrimination.
